The STEP program is our “Student Transition and Employability Program” and aims to help students prepare for the transition to adulthood by offering individualized programming which focuses on functional academics (literacy and numeracy), employability skills, social-emotional learning (social skills, emotional regulation, coping skills), and life skills (shopping, foods program, hygiene, safety skills). The program seeks to help students:

  • Plan and prepare for the changes that adult life will bring.

  • Take steps towards a life of greater independence.

  • Enjoy a successful and fulfilling adult life.
